Dink Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Hello, ladies and gentlemen I'd like to present what may be my last solo map (I think). Anyone who knows me knows how much I love doing this and, since my V10, I felt I could offer something more. Rummaging through an old hard disk, I found this map which already had a partially finished track. Initially, it was presented as GENESIS SPHYX 2, but after completing Lost Horizon, I realized I still had more to add. So I decided to redo everything. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it. Spoiler I never say goodbye, but maybe “see you soon” (I'm talking about mapping), as I enjoy doing it and maybe it's just a phase where I need to get away from (solo) mapping. I've been playing this crap game since 2010... and you get tired of it. But that's part of it. So I'm going to take a break from creating solo maps and concentrate on finishing the projects (exploits) I've already started. 2024 was a good year for me, as I allowed myself to explore more. So much so that I released five maps, which is rare, as anyone who knows my history knows that I used to make one map a year and then disappear, hahaha. Since 2010, there have only been 10 solo maps. But in 2024, I decided to concentrate and focus more on that. Spoiler I'd like to send a message to anyone who is mapping or starting out: don't pay attention to bad criticism and take advantage of constructive criticism. I always say that you should be original, be yourself, and not what others want. A lot of people make similar maps, to the point where it's hard to tell who made them, because they always follow the same pattern: rocks, trees . (If you like that, I respect it.) But there are already a lot of maps like that. So get out of the box and try to innovate! Even if there are already thousands of maps with the same objects, try to think of different ways of using them. Many say that a map needs more detail, but that depends on your style. If you like the way you do it, then work on it and improve. There are some people who don't even make good maps, but want to criticize yours. In the end, what they don't want is for you to be better than them. These are the people who always try to force you to follow the same formula that everyone else is already using. So if you want to break out of the box, ignore these comments and do the best you can in your original style. And mappers, help each other, don't hinder each other. P.S.: MSTU sparingly and don't copy the deco from your friends' maps . And the people I've criticized in previous comments are close mappers who I know have potential. Good luck to everyone SPECIAL THANKS While I'm at it, I'd like to say that I've met a lot of great people since my return, and I'd like to mention their names here, because they're incredible people: Prime - The best scripter I've ever met on the MTA. A true genius at what he does, because he does it with love. ZinTro - The best track maker I've met since my return. BenQ - You'll be hearing a lot about him. He's absurdly talented, he just needs to be exploited more. ZeeTy - Needless to say... The guy mapping like it's easy, haha. Basty - This guy is incredible, you can trust him. Rockz - He has a gift for mapping that reminds me of Nataam. They're both extremely detailed in what they do. Hooligan - The fine Uruguayan pro mapper. Gore[X] - Has an incredible talent for both recording maps and mapping. Chris1384 - he helped me incredibly, and at the last minute ahaha (with script texture color, damn this gave me a headache, if it wasn't for this guy I wouldn't have put the script on the map) There are many others I could mention, but I wanted to highlight these guys here. And of course, I'd also like to thank a few people who motivated me to complete this project: Nataam, ClaudiO.,Skaarj,ZUNI,BriaN and Esp4wN. The delay in posting is because I managed to recover my forum password today xD /TfF\Maybe, /TfF\Noisette, Eenzo and 3 others 5 1 Quote
